Not all events or tickets are available for resale, but it's easy to find out if your seats are eligible through Ticketmaster.
To learn more about listing your tickets on Ticketmaster and step-by-step instructions, explore the information below.
To list your tickets, follow these steps:
- Sign into your Ticketmaster Account.
- Select your order in the My Tickets section.
- Select the Sell button to see if your order is eligible for resale.
- Select the tickets you want to sell and Continue.
- Follow the prompts, choose your pricing and enter a payout method. Skip the hassle by choosing the debit card payout option — it requires no verification process on your part. Visit our help page How and when do I get paid for tickets I sell? to learn more.
- Review your listing and you’re done.
When your tickets sell through Ticketmaster, Ticketmaster automatically sends them to the purchaser.
What information will buyers see about my tickets?
To comply with local legislation, resale listings for events in Quebec and British Columbia include identifying information about who is selling the ticket that will be publicly displayed to buyers viewing your listing on the event page.
For events in Quebec, effective September 8th, 2026, listings from individual sellers will display the seller’s first and last name, and listings from professional sellers will display the broker company name, contact information, and location. For events in British Columbia, effective July 22nd, 2026, listings from professional sellers will display the broker company name, contact information, and location. This information is required to be displayed and cannot be edited or removed.
Do I have to pay a set-up fee to list my tickets?
Creating a listing to sell your tickets is always free. However, when your tickets are sold, a service fee is collected from the total selling price of your tickets. During the setup process, you’ll be able to view all of the details before finalizing your ticket listing.
Do I have to sell all of my tickets?
You have the flexibility to sell all or just some of your tickets. To select specific tickets, click Sell or tap Sell and Sell Your Tickets in the app and select the box next to the desired tickets. A check mark will appear in the box when selected.
Will all of my tickets be sold together?
If you’re selling two tickets, they’ll always be sold as a pair. Our goal is to avoid leaving a fan with a single ticket.
Here are your options for selling more than two:
3 tickets – sell as 1 or 3
4 tickets – sell as 2 or 4
5 tickets – sell as 1, 2, 3, or 5
6 tickets – sell as 2, 4, or 6
7 tickets – sell as 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 7
8 tickets – sell as 2, 4, 6, or 8
When listing nine or more tickets, they can be sold in any quantity.
This only applies to reserved seating. If you have General Admission (GA) or lawn seats, these can be sold in any quantity.
Why are some tickets not eligible for resale?
Event Organizers determine how and when tickets may be resold for their events on Ticketmaster. This may include requesting that resale is not available on our site for an entire event, certain areas of the venue, or for specific ticket types such as will call, charity or donated tickets.
Additionally, resale isn’t available for events where Ticketmaster is not the primary ticket provider.
Resale may be enabled closer to the event date. Check your order in your Ticketmaster Account periodically to see whether the resale option appears.
Can I sell my tickets below face value for my event?
You may be able to list tickets above or below face value, depending on the resale terms set by the Event Organizer and on local resale laws.
What is pending sale?
Pending sale means someone purchased your ticket(s), but the order is currently being processed and is not yet finalized. Once your tickets have been sold, the status will be updated to Sold.
